Description

English speaking interns needed to assist Chinese primary classroom teachers with both classroom teaching and curriculum development.

- provide in class support to Chinese English teachers;
- assist with English pronunciation training
- assist with lesson preparation
- create learning materials PPT and templates for activities
- conduct online research on relevant topics
- review class materials with local and Chinese volunteers

INTERNAL:
Availability during any of the following internship time periods:
May 2018-August 2018;

September 2018-December 2018;

March 2018-June 2018

Committed to assisting classroom teacher with weekly 2 hours language class
Maximum commitment no more than 20 hours a week

Duration: 1-6 months

Required specialized knowledge

None

Preferred language abilities

- Fluent in English with excellent English pronunciation skills

Preferred skills

- Interest in primary classroom education
- Need not have classroom teaching experience but must enjoy working with children and possess a passion for giving back to the local community
- Good with primary-age children of various social economic backgrounds
